Reconditioned Scaffold Board Shelving

This was a simple but effective way to have rustic looking shelving.

On the left-hand side I put up three shelves above the existing TV unit. On the right-hand side I put up shelves from floor to ceiling. For the bottom two shelves I used a board and a half so they could take larger books.

I removed the old lights and fitted LED strip lighting instead which was laid across the back of two of the shelves giving ambient lighting with no visible source. The shelves were sanded and then finished with two coats of clear wax.

In adition I added some shelves to this client’s kitchen, bedroom and utility room. To help reduce the costs of the work, I gave a demonstration of how to finish the shelves with the wax to the client was able to finish them themselves.
